The Toyota RAV4 has always been the tamed, family-friendly, and practical crossover SUV. For those who love to get wet and wild, there’s a RAV4 model just for you. Say hello to the 2023 Toyota RAV4 Adventure Offroad Package II.
You can easily notice the black bumpers and they might remind you of the unpainted bumpers found in base-spec models from the ’90s. However, these bumpers actually serve a purpose. They are painted in “Gori Gori Black” which can withstand scratches better than ordinary paints, making them more expensive as well.
Along with the black-painted bumpers are the matte black alloy wheels, black body claddings, skid plates, bumper intakes, and flared wheel arches. All these give the car a rugged look and greater off-road capability. Ensuring grip on whatever terrain are 225/60/R18 all-terrain Falken tires along with a raised suspension.
Just like the facelifted 2023 Toyota RAV4, this model benefits from a series of tech updates. These include the new digital cockpit comprising of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.5-inch infotainment touchscreen. In addition, it has a digital rearview mirror with the ability to record video from the front and rear cameras on an SD card.
As for the engine, it remains to be available in ICE-only, regular hybrid, and plug-in hybrid. The petrol variants with the 2.0-liter engine come in 2WD or 4WD guises, while the electrified models with the 2.5-liter engine and e-motors come standard with the E-Four system.
As of this writing, this model is only available in Japan, although Toyota has no reason not to bring it to the Philippines.
