HATASU Wants To Be The Top eBike Brand in the Philippines

With high gas prices and the terrible traffic situation in the Philippines, eBikes are seen as an alternative mode of transportation for Filipinos. HATASU, one of the many eBike brands in the country, wants to become the no. 1 brand in the Philippines. And they’re well on their way to achieving that goal – despite HATASU being in the Philippines for just a year, they’ve already opened over 500 stores, achieved over 10,000 users in just 10 months, and currently have 9 concept stores nationwide.

Recently, HATASU held a media event at Puerto Real, Intramuros last October 12, where they showcased their current eBike offerings like the Haru and Mako 2 three-wheeled eBikes. The Haru is a single-seater eBike that is made for beginners who are not confident enough to ride a two-wheeled eBike. The Mako 2, on the other hand, has additional seating and is made for families who need a trusty eBike for running errands around the neighborhood. Compared to HATASU’s other eBike offerings, the Mako 2 has a longer range of up to 70 km on a single charge.

Those who prefer a two-wheeled eBike can opt for the Kumi and Nero. Both eBikes are HATASU’s offerings for students and office workers who need a vehicle they can ride to school or work safely. Both models are also suitable for delivery riders with their front baskets for storing packages.

So what makes HATASU different from other eBike offerings? Well for one, HATASU isn’t just a white-box OEM reseller – they’re an actual eBike brand that has its own R&D department and spends time to actually look at what consumers want and develops products based on that. Aside from that, the brand also has a robust QA team in place, as final assembly for their units is done in the Philippines, which allows their staff to take a look at each unit and ensure that they’re working 100% before they’re dispatched to their dealers around the country.

As it continues to grow its presence in the Philippines, HATASU is set to unveil a new model in time for its 1st anniversary in the Philippines this November. The upcoming model is a three-wheeled eBike and is said to “provide a Multi-ride, Easy Go experience to Filipinos.”

You can check out more about HATASU’s eBike offerings in the Philippines through their LazMall store or via their Authorized Dealers nationwide.
