Better than Ever: Apple AirPods Pro 2 Improves on its Already-Great Predecessor

Apple finally update its top-end TWS earbuds with the AirPods Pro 2. At the heart of it is an all-new H2 chip that boasts high bandwidth connectivity for support for high-bitrate music, along with updated drivers that deliver more clarity and detail across all frequencies. The H2 chip also aims to improve Active Noise Cancellation–up to twice as good as what we experienced with the already good 1st-generation AirPods Pro.

For functionality, Apple added a new capacitive sensor on the AirPods Pro 2’s stems to let you swipe for volume controls. The updated design allows the AirPods Pro 2 to have up to 6 hours of battery life–and up to 30 hours with the charging case. Speaking of the charging case, you get a speaker to help you find them in case you misplace them, along with a loop on the side for adding lanyards. The same goes for the individual AirPods, where they have a U1 for precise location tracking.

Despite these improvements, it’s disappointing to see that the AirPods Pro 2 still uses a Lightning port for charging. The only consolation to this is that you can use an Apple Watch charger, MagSafe, or any Qi charger.

The Apple AirPods Pro 2 is priced at Php 14,990 and will soon be available in the Philippines.
