Dell’s New XPS 15 Is The MacBook Pro That Should’ve Been

Besides adding a new touchbar to the mix, Apple’s recent MacBook Pro left many users underwhelmed. Aside from forcing iPhone users to adopt the #donglelife, the newer MacBook Pros were launched too early to take advantage of Intel’s new Cobylake processors, so they’re still packing last generation Skylake chips to power them.

That’s not the case with Dell’s new XPS 15 though. The new notebook ships with Intel’s latest 7th generation Kaby Lake processor, along with up to 32GB of RAM. Storage-wise you’re getting a 1TB HDD drive, M.2PCiE SSD up to 1TB or a combination of the two. For graphics, the XPS 15 gets NVIDIA’s GTX 1050 GPU, which is has proven itself when it comes to gaming.

Users can also opt to get a non-touch, 1920 x 1080 display if they desire or a 3840 x 2160 UltraHD panel that’s rated for 100 percent of the Adobe RGB. The more expensive 4K panel is also touch-enabled, has 10-point touch and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

The XPS 15 also has all the ports you need, as well as Thunberbolt 3.

Prices for the new notebook starts at $999.
