There was one point in the whole interview that really stood out for us it was when he started talking about a concept called “EMPOWERING LUXURY”. Read the full quote below just in case you guys didn’t catch it in the video.
(11:15) EMPOWERING LUXURY: the Key Message and Thinking Behind the Zenfone 2
“They key message is ‘Empowering Luxury’. This means that when you are using the device you are proud of using it. You have the privilege to own the device, you feel proud. Apple can do it but for everyone Apple cannot do it. So empowering luxury I want to set experience level to the same as Apple but for everyone means everyone can buy it. So empowering luxury for everyone to enjoy that’s the key message for our smartphone.” -Jerry Shen, ASUS CEO
We look forward to seeing more products that deliver on that promise. Thank you to Mr. Jerry Shen and to ASUS Philippines for the opportunity for the interview!
