Takes numerous hammer blows like a boss

There’s this new Flappy Bird How-To video making its rounds in social media the past few days. As you might have guessed, it’s not actually a video that teaches you how to master the soul-crushingly difficult Flappy Bird game, but rather showcases what happens when someone gets really, really, really upset when his bird dies.

If you can’t watch the video, the man plays the game for a few seconds before failing, which prompts the most one sided fight in history involving a blunt object since Shane Stant whacked Nancy Kerrigan. He repeatedly hits the unnamed Samsung smartphone with a hammer. Surprisingly enough, the smartphone in question doesn’t immediately shatter at the man’s furious blows with a frickin’ hammer, only turning off after the battery flies off because of the sheer force of the blow. The screen takes quite a few hits with the hammer before finally shattering. Aside from the screen, the device looks none to worse for wear (externally) after he’s done. That doesn’t mean that Samsung phones are indestructible machines (that title still belongs to Nokia’s mighty 5110) but it’s nice to know that there are Samsung phones that can take a hammer to the screen and live. We wonder – can an iPhone take the same abuse?
