vivo Officially Announces V30e with Snapdragon 6 Gen 1

After it was teased a few weeks ago, vivo has officially unveiled the V30e in India to complete the V30 series. On top of confirmed features that include a 50-megapixel IMX882 main camera with OIS and a 5500mAh battery with 44w charging, the V30e is confirmed to have a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, which is an upgrade over the Snapdragon 695 used on the V29e as it adds support for 4K video recording.

The V30e’s display is a 6.78-inch 120hz curved AMOLED panel with a 1300nits peak brightness and in-display fingerprint scanner. It’s also worth noting that this is the first time a Vxxe variant gets a curved display. Like its other siblings, the V30e’s punch-hole has a 50-megapixel selfie camera with autofocus.

Other features of the V30e include an IP64 rating, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and Android 14-based FunTouchOS 14 out of the box. vivo promises three major Android updates and four years of security updates, which is better than what it usually offers. We don’t know if this update commitment will apply to the rest of the V30 series–but we’d be delight if vivo does so.

The V30e is priced at Rs 27,999(~Php 20k) for the 8GB/128GB variant and Rs 29,999(~Php 21k) for the 8GB/256GB variant. vivo previously teased that the V30e is arriving in the Philippines soon, and we speculate that we will be getting the same model that was announced in India.
