While we already have the HONOR X7b in the Philippines, it only has 4G connectivity with its use of a Snapdragon 680 processor. HONOR has yet to launch a budget 5G phone for global markets, but it silently listed a 5G version of the X7b recently.Â

Like the 4G version, the X7b 5G gets a large 6000mAh battery with 35w charging, along with 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, a 108-megapixel main camera, and a 6.8-inch Full HD+ display. The display has the same punch-hole for the 8-megapixel selfie camera.
As the name implies, the X7b 5G uses a Dimensity 6020 processor–which is based on the Dimensity 700. The back panel has a dual-tone finish that’s evident on the camera module, and the ultra-wide camera is ditched for another filler sensor. The X7b 5G also loses on MicroSD card but still retains the stereo speakers and headphone jack.
In a nutshell, HONOR made a few compromises on the X7b 5G to give it 5G-ready connectivity while making it as affordable as possible. There are no details yet on which markets will get the 5G version of the X7b 5G, but we think that HONOR might price it within the Php 10k range in the Philippines if it wants a good share of the budget 5G phone market.Â
