Kirin 9000s-Powered MatePad Pro to Go Global?

Those living outside of China who want to try Huawei’s Kirin 9000s processor might not need to wait longer, as Huawei announced a launch event that’s happening on December 12 in Dubai. Looking through the poster, it appears to be the global launch of the 2024 MatePad Pro 11, which is among the devices that use the Kirin 9000s.

There’s also a possibility that the launch event will also unveil the bigger MatePad Pro 13.2, which is also powered by a Kirin 9000s processor. Unlike the smaller MatePad Pro, the 13.2-inch version has a notch on its display to house a 16-megapixel front camera and a 3D ToF sensor while maintaining those skinny bezels. The 13.2-inch’s OLED display has a faster 144hz refresh rate compared to the 120hz on the 11-inch model.

Aside from the bigger display, both the 11-inch and 13.2-inch models have stylus support, HarmonyOS 4.0 out of the box, and come in WiFi-only variants. This might be the reason why Huawei decided to launch these MatePad Pro models first over the Mate 60 models–which all have 5G connectivity according to reports.

Aside from the global launch of the 2024 MatePad Pro 11 and MatePad Pro 13.2, it seems that Huawei will also announce a new set of earphones. We don’t know what they are called, but we speculate that they might be a smart device that will integrate with HarmonyOS.
