Motorola Announces Android Go-Powered E30 in Europe

Motorola expands its entry-level offerings in Europe with the E30. The new phone has a lot of similarities to the previously-announced E40, though the E30 runs Android Go because it only has 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.

Motorola E30 Specs:

  • Unisoc Tiger T700 processor
  • 2GB RAM
  • 32GB storage, expandable via MicroSD
  • 6.5-inch HD+ IPS Display, 90Hz refresh rate
  • 48-megapixel f/2.0 main camera with PDAF, 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro camera, 2-megapixel f/2.4 depth sensor
  • 8-megapixel selfie camera
  • 4G, LTE
  • WiFi, Bluetooth, rear mounted fingerprint scanner
  • 5000mAh battery
  • 10w charging
  • Android 11 (Go Edition)

Save for the RAM/Storage difference and Android Go out of the box, the E30 rocks a Unisoc Tiger 700 processor, a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS display with a 90hz refresh rate and a punch-hole for the 8-megapixel selfie snapper, a triple rear camera setup that consists of a 48-megapixel main camera and a pair of 2-megapixel cameras, and a 5000mAh battery with 10w wired charging.

While those features may sound meager, they are things you’d never find on an Android Go device. Potentially, the E30 might set the new benchmark for what we should expect in ultra-budget phones.

The Motorola E30 is listed for €100(~Php 5.9k) in Belgium, and there’s no word if it will be made available outside of Europe.
