NVIDIA’s RTX 3000 series GPUs are starting to arrive on laptops, and MSI is the latest manufacturer to include them in their gaming lineup. The brand has refreshed its top-end models with NVIDIA’s latest GPUs and has included high refresh rate displays on some models to fully take advantage of the new tech.
MSI is releasing refreshed variants of their MSI GE66 Raider, GE76 Raider, GS66 Stealth, GP66 Leopard, GP76 Leopard, and Stealth 15M, with all laptops in the list packing RTX 3000 series GPUs.
Most of the laptops in MSI’s new refreshed lineup will come packing Intel’s Core i7-10870H processor, with only the Stealth 15M getting the brand’s new Core i7-11375H chipset.
Aside from that, all laptops in the list also get to use Resizable Bar Memory feature, which is the brand’s answer to AMD’s Smart Acess Memory that users enjoy when they pair the company’s newest Ryzen processor with their new Radeon 6000 series GPUs.
Here’s a short list of what you can expect from MSI’s local lineup:
MSI GE Raider Series
The MSI GE 76 Raider is the top-dog in the brand’s lineup, packing an NVIDIA RTX 3080 GPU inside, along with Intel’s Core i7-10870H. To maximize the RTX 3080, MSI has equipped the laptop with a 17-inch FHD display that has a 300Hz refresh rate. It’s one of the few laptops in the market that has the hardware to drive a refresh rate that high.
Aside from that, you also get a 32GB of DDR4 3200MHz RAM, 2TB of NVMe SSD storage as well as per-key RGB thanks to their collab with Steel Series.
If the GE 76 is a little spendy for you, there’s a slightly lower variant that trades the RTX 3080 for an RTX 3070, and lowers the refresh rate down to 240Hz from 300Hz. You’re also getting less RAM at just 16GB of the same 3200MHz, though storage remains the same.
The MSI GE76 Raider pre-order price is Php 209,995 while MSI GE76 Raider that packs a RTX 3070 is priced at Php 159,995. There’s also a 15-inch variant of the GE Raider that packs a 300Hz refresh rate display with the same RTX 3080 GPU (and everything else that makes the to-end variant great) that retails for Php 199,995.
MSI GP Leopard Series
MSI’s GP Leopard laptops are more stealthy and less RGB-ey than the brand’s other offerings, with both the 17 and 15-inch variants equipped with the lowest end NVIDIA RTX 3060. Both display variants only come with 144Hz refresh rates at FHD, which is just right for the capabilities of the GPU and the CPU, which is the same Core i7-10870H in most of the other models in the lineup.
Both variants get 16GB of DDR4 3200MHz RAM, as well as 1TB NVMe SSD drives and per-key RGB thanks to the Steel Series collab with MSI.
The MSI GP76 Leopard pre-order price is Php 124,995 while GP GP66 is Php 119,995.
MSI Stealth 15M
Finally, we get to the Stealth 15M. The Stealth series have always been MSI’s feature thin-and-light gaming laptop, and that hasn’t changed with the arrival of NVIDIA’s new GPUs. The Stealth 15M is the only laptop in the lineup that gets Intel’s newer Core i7-11375H processor, though you’ll have to settle for a less capable NVIDIA RTX 3060 Max-Q GPU. Other specs include a 15.6-inch FHD 144Hz refresh rate panel, 16GB of DDR4 3200MHz RAM and 1TB NVMe SSD, along with RGB functionality. The Stealth 15M retails for Php 109,995.
These laptops can be pre-ordered starting February 15-28, 2021. The pre-order offers consumers premium bundles worth up to PHP 11,000 some of which include MSI official gaming peripherals, gift cards like Steam, Apple, and Google gift cards to name a few.
