The OnePlus Nord N30 SE is an Affordable 5G Phone

It has been a while since we heard from OnePlus’ Nord line. The last one was the Nord 3, which arrived in the Philippines last July. While we are waiting for the next Nord product to arrive in the country, OnePlus announced the N30 SE 5G in the United Arab Emirates, and it might be the brand’s most affordable offering at under Php 11k. That’s even lower than the US-only Nord N200 5G, which was priced at under Php 12k back in 2021.

What do you get with the Nord N30 SE 5G’s asking price of 699 AED or around Php 11k? For starters, it is a budget 5G device as it rocks a Dimensity 6020 processor (which is based on the Dimensity 700) that’s paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It has a dual rear camera setup that’s led by a 50-megapixel main camera, along with an 8-megapixel selfie camera that’s housed in a punch-hole.

The Nord N30 SE 5G’s display is a 6.72-inch IPS panel with a Full HD+ resolution and a dated 60hz refresh rate. We wish for a higher refresh rate, but we’ll give OnePlus some slack since this is their most affordable 5G phone to date. You do get stereo speakers with the Nord N30 SE 5G, along with 33w charging for its 5000mAh battery. It comes with OxygenOS 13.1 out of the box, though OnePlus did not mention any details about software update commitments.

While its price in UAE is intriguing for a budget 5G phone, it remains to be seen if OnePlus has plans to bring the Nord N30 SE to the Philippines–the last Nord phone that made it to the country was the Nord 3.
