OPPO expands its K-series phones in China with the K9 Pro 5G. As a more powerful version of the vanilla model that came out last May, the K9 Pro 5G switches to a Dimensity 1200 processor and now comes with a 12GB RAM option.

While it has the same 6.43-inch AMOLED panel as the vanilla model, the K9 Pro 5G upgrades that with a 120hz refresh rate. As it is marketed as a gaming phone, the K9 Pro 5G has a 4D Vibration feature for an immersive gaming experience and a cooling system that features a 14,000mm2 heat dissipation area. The battery is larger at 4500mAh, but it is strange that the K9 Pro 5G has a slightly slower charging speed of 60w.
You still get the same triple rear camera setup (64-megapixel main, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, 2-megapixel macro) on the K9 Pro 5G, but the selfie snapper is a lower-resolution  16-megapixel camera.
OPPO K9 Pro 5G Price
The K9 Pro is priced at CNY 2199(~Php 17.3k) for the 8GB/128GB model and CNY 2699(~Php 21.3k) for the 12GB/256GB model. It will go on sale in China on September 30, and there’s no word it if OPPO will make it available outside of China.
