Redmi Pad SE Unveiled with Affordable Price Tag

Roughly a year after Xiaomi released its budget tablet offering with the Redmi Pad, it follows it up with the Redmi Pad SE in Europe. Unlike the Pad 6 Max, it seems that the Philippines has a better chance of getting the Redmi Pad SE.

The Pad SE gets you an 11-inch 90hz display, which is a smidge bigger than what the non-SE model had. It also uses a different processor, trading in the Helio G99 for a Snapdragon 680. You get 128GB internal storage that’s expandable via MicroSD with up to 1TB, along with up to 8GB RAM.

You do get a quad-speaker system on the Pad SE and an 8-megapixel rear camera–however, the selfie camera gets a slight downgrade at 5-megapixels.

While the battery of the Pad SE is the same as the non-SE model at 8000mAh, charging speeds are downgraded to just 10w–but still USB-C. Other features of the Pad SE include a headphone jack, Android 13-based MIUI 14 Pad, and a lightweight body at just 478 grams.

As it positions itself as an affordable tablet, the Redmi Pad SE has a competitive price in Europe, with a starting price of 199 Euros(~Php 13k) for the 4GB variant. The 6GB RAM version is priced at 229 Euros(~Php 15k), while the 8GB version is priced at 249 Euros(~Php 16k). Do note that European pricing is higher, so there’s a possibility that the Redmi Pad SE might have an under-Php 10k price tag in the Philippines.
