The new tablet will come equipped with an OLED display!
It’s not unheard of for the designs of flagship smartphones to start filtering to other products of manufacturers. Samsung has never been shy in this regard, and has used the iconic faux leather back design of the Note 3 on its tablet offerings. It seems that the company will be doing the same with their upcoming Galaxy Tab S 10.5 tablet, which has a design that has been heavily influenced by the Galaxy S5.
While the front of the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 looks much like most of Samsung’s other tablet offerings, the back of the upcoming tablet shows the trademark perforated back that showed up on the Galaxy S5. Much like the S5, the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 will have many of its external sensors and features, which include the fingerprint scanner embedded on the home button.
The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 also signals the return to OLED displays after three years. Other features include a 10.5-inch display size (obviously), 2560×1600 resolution, octa-core Exynos 5420 CPU with four 1.9GHz Cortex-A15 cores and four 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 cores, 8-megapixel rear camera, 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS/GLONASS, and LTE connectivity and Android KitKat.
