As part of its efforts to make its stylish The Frame TV a high-tech art decor piece for homes, Samsung has partnered with the Louvre to add select artworks from the esteemed museum in Paris, France to Samsung’s Art Store.

“This year, we are proud to join forces with one of the most famous museums in the world, the Louvre, to enhance this collection and offer a taste of French heritage throughout the world,” Samsung Electronics Service Biz Team President and Head Wonjin Lee said.

Currently, Samsung’s Art Store boasts a catalog of over 1,500 artworks from 42 different countries–all of them in stunning 4K quality. Aside from the Louvre, the Art Store features artworks from the Prado Museum in Madrid, the Albertina Museum in Vienna, the Tate Modern in London, the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, the Hermitage State Museum in Saint Petersburg, and LUMAS.

For its partnership with the Louvre, Samsung will offer users of The Frame 40 artworks from the esteemed museum that include the Mona Lisa and The Wedding Feast at Cana, as well as photos of the majestic Louvre galleries, its architecture, and museum grounds. Each artwork will have a short description to give users a glimpse into their background and history. 

“The Louvre is a venue of discovery, imbued with emotion, a spectacular setting for artistic masterpieces. Admiring works from its collection every day, at home, as well as views of the building, galleries, and gardens, is a wonderful way to see and understand the extraordinary beauty of this museum,” Louvre Brand Licensing and Commercial Partnerships Development Head Yann Le Touher said.

Aside from select artworks appearing at the Art Store, Samsung teased that they are working with the Louvre for exclusive content for The Frame.

Available in 43, 50, 55, 65, and 75-inches, The Frame is designed as a TV when turned on and art when it is off, functioning as a digital canvas with its 4K QLED panel. Customization options for The Frame include modern (available in white, teak, beige, and brown) and beveled (available in white and brick red) bezels.
