Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray coming to the Philippines?

The Sony Ericsson PH Facebook Page just uploaded a new tab which highlights one of their newest products: the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray. One thing that I appreciate a lot about the Xperia Ray is the industrial design. It has a aluminum chassis that’s just 9.4mm thick and weighs around 100 grams! It also sports a 3.3″ 854×480-pixel Reality Display with the Mobile Bravia Engine. Oh, and it comes in four colors: Black, Pink, Gold, and white.

They Xperia Ray ain’t no slouch also as it packs a 1GHz processor and 512MB RAM. It also has a whopping 8.1MP camera that has a Sony Exmor R CMOS sensor. Sony did a pretty good job also by adding other cool camera features like 16x digital zoom, face detection, smile, detection, f/2.4 aperture, and 720p HD video recording. Xperia Ray also has Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

If you want to get your hands on a unit it’s actually on display at the PLDT-SMART Jump Experience Center over at SM Megamall.

Update: We’ve received several reports on the price. Some stores are selling it for as low as Php15,300. If you go around Greenhills there are several vendors and shops that are selling it for around Php16,500.
