Sony’s NW-ZX2 Walkman is For Audiophiles With Thick Wallets

Sony NW-ZX2

This is pure, hi-end audio bliss

Much like Samsung, Sony didn’t have any phones to show us during CES, though the Japanese company did reveal their newest walkman, the NW-ZX2. The NW-ZX2 is aimed at audiophiles that want the very best portable music experience, and looking at the price, we agree with them – Sony’s putting the SRP of this hi-resolution music player at $1200 or Php 54042, making it possibly the most expensive Walkman to be produced by Sony in recent times.

The NW-ZX2 is powered by Android (Android 4.2 Jellybean in fact) but don’t let that fool you – this device is meant for one thing, and one thing only – the delivery of the best audio possible to your ears. Because of that the new NW-ZX2 supports a whole ton of audio codecs, including DSD, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, Apple Lossless, to name a few. It has Bluetooth and NFC for instantenous pairing to NFC equipped wireless speakers.
