The Infinix HOT 30i MIGHT have a Premium Build

The HOT series are entry-level offerings from Infinix, with the i models being the more affordable variants. Infinix is set to launch the HOT 30 series soon, as the HOT 30i was spotted on the Google Play Console.

According to the listing, the HOT 30i should have around 4GB RAM, and will come with Android 12–the latter being unusual since a number of devices have been updated to Android 13 at this point. It will still have an HD+ display, and the processor will be a Unisoc T606. For comparision, the HOT 20i used a Helio G25 processor, and benchmarks show that the Unisoc processor performs beter despite having a lower CPU clock speed.

According to rumors, there will be an 8GB RAM variant as well, along with up to 128GB storage. While some of the rumored features are expected–side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 50-megapixel main camera, 6000mAh battery, the HOT 30i might have an upgrade when it comes to looks.

Unfortunately, the HOT 30i’s display will still have a notch.

There are reports that mention a “glass-like” finish on the HOT 30i, but we’re not sure if Infinix is actually going to use glass for an entry-level device–similar to what TECNO did for the Spark 10 Pro. If glass is not your thing, the HOT 30i will be offered in a Marigold color that will reportedly have a leather-like finish. We’re more interested in the latter, as we have yet to see any entry-level phone to have a leather-like back panel.
