Two stores in the works
We can finally put that Ikea guessing game to rest: According to those knowledgeable to the matter, Ikea has made a long-term lease agreement with the SM Group. The result of that agreement is two Ikea stores: The first Ikea store will be at SM Mall of Asia, in between The Arena and SMX Convention Center. The spot is an open parking lot, so expect construction to begin soon.
The second Ikea store will be at SM Fairview, though there are little details as to where the warehouse will be built. This is a new development following the Swedish furniture company looking for designers in a job post.
