Six Last-Minute Christmas Gifts For Gamers (Under PHP 5K)

It’s the Christmas season once again, which only means one thing: it’s the time of giving. However, not all of us may be so sure what to give our friends or significant others who love to play video games. Here are our recommendations on holiday gifts for gamers under the PHP 5K bracket. Receiving any one of these would surely make any enthusiast over the moon with joy.

Keep in mind that there are various types of gamers, from various systems of play to specialized games and the like. These options listed try to cater to all use cases possible.

Logitech G433 Headset

The first on this list is the Logitech G433, a wired headset you can take just about anywhere. It’s lightweight, has a boom microphone for certified comms performance, and looks the part. The biggest selling point though is its compatibility with the 3.5mm headphone jack which is a universal plug. That’s why it can work with consoles, PCs, and even mobile players! Yes, dongles from USB-C to 3.5mm are available almost everywhere. No matter how the person plays their games, it’s a definite must-have in one’s collection.

This costs from PHP 3,900 to PHP 5,862, depending on the color you get.

Keychron V1 Keyboard

Those who want to spice up their home offices or gaming setups will definitely love the Keychron V1 keyboard. The clicking and clacking of a blue-switched mechanical keyboard is indeed intoxicating, but so are the quiet thumps of other switches. This flexibility and hot-swapping capability give the user some flexibility, alongside VIA functionality for a captivating light show. It’s definitely one of those amazing gifts for gamers and in general for under PHP 5K.

The highest-spec version with a built-in knob costs PHP 4,590.

ASUS ROG Gladius III Wired Mouse

At the middle of this list is the ASUS ROG Gladius III Mouse. We had it in our hands for a bit during the year, and it was a joy to use – albeit being a bit large. Its asymmetrical design is suited for a variety of holding styles, with 3-zone RGB adding those awesome accents to your table. It’s a mouse you’d want to keep using even beyond the ROG Switches’ 70-million-click lifespan. Despite the fact that we had the wireless edition with us, the lighter wired edition should give a far more comfortable experience for extended gaming sessions.

This costs PHP 4,747.

T-Force Cardea Z44L M.2 PCIe SSD

These are wise words often said in the PC and laptop community, but the switch from HDD to SSD is magical. It simply just is. Your device will feel like new again, and boot speeds are exponentially faster. If you have friends or family still on those wretched spinning disks, then this T-Force Cardea Z44L M.2 PCIe SSD is a well-deserved upgrade. It’s smaller than your typical SSD due to its NVMe form factor, meaning it can be used with smaller laptops if they have the capacity to switch out or add memory options. With an advertised top read/write speed of seven times a SATA SSD, it’s a gift some may not know they need until they try it.

Price differs based on size, but it starts out at PHP 1,965 for the 250GB version.

PowerA Enhanced Wired Controller

This selection on the “best gifts for gamers under PHP 5K” list might upset the PlayStation and mobile crowds out there as it’s exclusively for Xbox, PC, or Nintendo Switch players. The PowerA Enhanced controller comes in many colorful patterns, with ergonomics and functionality in mind. Each button on the Spectra Infinity version lights up in a three-zone, five-shade RGB pattern so you can still play in the dark. Regardless, all models are also equipped with dual rumble motors, a pair of programmable advanced gaming buttons, a headset dial & port, and doesn’t require batteries to run when plugged in. An included detachable 10-foot cable makes sure of that. All this functionality alongside a diamond-textured grip is in hopes of elevating your gaming experience to a whole new level.

The Xbox/PC versions will set you back PHP 2,380. Meanwhile, the Switch version costs a bit more at PHP 2,595.

SteelSeries Stratus+ Wireless Gaming Controller

Alright, alright, mobile players. We heard you. This SteelSeries Stratus+ Gaming Controller is built specifically for Android devices, following a conventional controller layout for maximum comfort. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The brand advertises over 90 hours of gameplay with a fast charge function for when the controller runs dry. It even has a built-in smartphone holder to keep your device secure. And yes, it’s compatible with Chromebooks for gaming although we’re not sure how big that demographic really is.

This costs PHP 3,335. The Nimbus+, built for Apple devices, carries a bit of a premium (as expected) at PHP 4,295.
