TCL Just Outplayed Samsung and LG with their New 115-inch X955 TV

TCL has just made the ultimate flex for the Philippine market, as the brand has launched the biggest TV available for regular consumers in the country. The TCL X955 is a 115-inch QD-Mini LED TV aimed at projecting the brand’s technological expertise for flat-panel TVs to Filipinos.

TCL’s new TV is a flex with its other competitors, who don’t have TVs bigger than 93 or 97 inches in the market. It’s pretty telling that TCL, a brand that’s usually known for bang-for-the-buck TVs, can beat more premium brands like Samsung and LG to the punch in launching such a monstrous TV.

The TCL X955 is a 115-inch 4K TV with 20,000 local dimming zones scattered across its massive screen. It’s one of the brightest TVs you can get today, as it can produce 5000 nits of brightness, which is what you want when consuming HDR content. It’s also a great TV to game on, thanks to the 144Hz refresh rate that’s available on tap.

If that wasn’t enough, the TV also features 6 speakers with 2 tweeters and 2 sub-woofers with 240 watts of peak power. Audio is provided by the Japanese brand Onkyo, which should please even the pickiest audiophile.

TCL X955 price in the Philippines

A TV of this size isn’t cheap, and TCL is asking for a bank account-ravaging Php 1,399,995 for it. The brand is cutting the price of the TV to just Php 999,995 for about a month (from June 28 to June 31) to entice big-timers to buy this TV and is throwing in a free 1.5 HP split-type aircon and a 1.5HP side-by-side fridge to sweeten the deal. The combined value of both freebies is around Php 115,000.
