TWO OPPO Find N2 Foldables Could Be Out This Month

TWO OPPO Find N2 Foldables Could Be Out This Month

Last year, we reviewed the OPPO Find N which was the company’s maiden attempt at such a device. It was a very honorable effort as its only real cons were subjective matters like its smaller size, past-gen flagship chipset, and lack of IP certification. Well, it looks like the OPPO Find N2, as well as the first Flip version, could be making a debut at this month’s OPPO Inno Day 2022 to be held on the 14th of December. Here’s what we know so far, as well as what we hope from these devices.

Starting off with the conventional OPPO Find N2, leaksters are claiming that it could be the lightest foldable in its class at 240 grams. That would put it 15% below its predecessor on the scale and significantly less so than other brands. Not much has been said about its specifications yet, but we hope that its decrease in weight doesn’t affect its build quality. After all, the first OPPO Find N did amazingly in JerryRigEverything’s legendary durability tests.

If OPPO goes the “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” route with the OPPO Find N2, then we’re expecting a comeback of the 5.45-inch AMOLED outer display and 7.1-inch LTPO AMOLED inner display, with a 1792×1920 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The glass used should be on the level of Gorilla Glass Victus or whereabouts. 8/12GB RAM options as well as 256/512GB storage choices should also be available here, although a jump to 1TB would be nice for power users.

Places we expect to see upgrades with the OPPO Find N2 are, firstly, in the processor department. The last one used a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 at the advent of the 8 Gen 1, so we might be seeing an 8 Gen 1+ instead of the latest Gen 2. The 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 main camera, IMX481 ultrawide, and IMX615 selfie camera all proved to be great snappers, but they aren’t the best of the best. It’s a golden opportunity to upset the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 in this regard.

Less predictable upgrades could be in the battery department if they manage to push up from the 4,500 mAh capacity while losing weight. Also the IP rating. Both aren’t likely but they’d be awesome additions.

On the other hand, tech leakster Yogesh Brar bared the OPPO Find N2 Flip’s leaked specs for the world to see. It involves a 6.8-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 3.2-inch OLED cover display, and a 50-megapixel camera supported by an 8-megapixel ultrawide. For the chipset, OPPO has chosen a MediaTek option with the Dimensity 9000+ which is another tower of power. Check out a short video of it in action here.

We’re looking forward to seeing these two devices in the flesh. We’ll keep you posted on any updates regarding these two, especially if we get them in our hands for review.
