More speed thanks to Intel’s proprietary tech
Lenovo adds four new models to its portfolio of laptops featuring Intel’s Optane memory. For those not familiar, Optane is a proprietary tech exclusive to 8th-generation Intel processors that boost a computer’s responsiveness to end-user requests via a specialized M.2 card.
In a nutshell, Optane aims to offer SSD-like performance for computers using traditional hard disk drives, making them more affordable than computers using SSDs.
“This is a huge boost in work efficiency and will allow students as well as working professionals greater productivity to achieve much more. In addition, the technology provides gamers a near-uninterruptible gaming experience, allowing them to fully immerse into their games,” Lenovo Philippines Country General Manager Michael Ngan said.
Pricing for the Optane-equipped laptops are as follows:
Legion Y530-15ICH with Intel Core i7-8750H processor – Php 78,995
IdeaPad 330-17ICH with Intel Core i7-8750H processor – Php 64,995
