Surprisingly the phone is pretty tough fragile
If you were worried that the plastic construction of Pocophone’s first phone, the F1, wasn’t as durable as its contemporaries, well, you should stop worrying. The phone has found its way to the hands of professional smartphone torturer Zack Nelson AKA JerryRigEverything, and the affordable flagship passed his torture tests with flying colors.
While the body of the F1 was unsurprisingly easier to scratch and puncture than say a glass or aluminum back, the rest of the phone fared surprisingly well. The display was only scratched by a level 6 pick on the Mohs hardness scale, and the fingerprint scanner remained intact and usable despite numerous assaults of Mr. Nelson.
The phone also aced the bend test, which makes the device one of the sturdier phones out in the market. Even Nelson is impressed with the build quality of the device, and has called it “one of the most structurally sound phones Xiaomi has ever made.”
