It’s a great camera for vloggers and newbie photogs on a budget
Fujifilm’s retro-inspired mirror-less camera lineup is getting an upgrade today, thanks to their newly announced X-A5 model. The new camera brings a faster AF system via a new 24.2-megapixel Bayer sensor with on-chip PDAF that makes the model’s AF twice as fast as its predecessor.
The camera also comes with better ISO, from 100 to 12,800, with a maximum range of 100-51,200 including expansion. The flip-up display now allows touch focusing as well, and there’s a small, 2.5mm microphone jack for people who want to use it as a vlogging camera.
There’s 4K capture as well, though Fujifilm limited frames to just 15FPS. Thankfully you’ll be able to shoot 1080p at 60FPS too.
Pricing-wise the X-A5 is priced at $600 in the US along with a XC 15-45 f/3.5-5.6 lens.
