HUAWEI’s Matepad 11.5s PaperMatte Feels Like You’re Writing On Paper

HUAWEI’s newest PaperMatte edition tablet has landed in the Philippines today. The new Matepad 11.5s PaperMatte Edition’s claim to fame is its large, 11.5-inch, 2.8K IPS LCD that sports an exterior finish that resembles the touch and feel of paper.

Aside from that, the PaperMatte finish on the display also makes the tablet resistant to glare versus similar tablets. Huawei estimates that the new finish reduces glare from different light sources by up to 60%.

The Matepad 11.5s PaperMatte Edition also comes with one of the best, a low-latency stylus for a consumer tablet. Thanks to HUAWEI’s NearLink Technology, the 2nd generation M-Pencil approximates the feel of a pencil on paper, making it and the tablet the perfect choice for digital illustrators and creatives.

The Matepad 11.5s PaperMatte Edition uses a unibody aluminum chassis and comes equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera. It’ll come with a keyboard accessory as well that docks to the chassis via magnets. Both the keyboard and the stylus get charged wirelessly when they’re attached to the tablet.

The tablet runs Kirin 9000WL chipset and HUAWEI’s Harmony OS 4.2 which is based on Android.

The Matepad 11.5s PaperMatte Edition is priced at Php 29,999. HUAWEI is throwing in almost Php 20K worth of freebies for people who pre-order the tablet early, including the 2nd generation M-Pencil, Smart Magnetic Keyboard, HUAWEI Bluetooth mouse, as well as PC-level WPS Office. The pre-order period starts from June 28 and runs until July 4.
