As we are waiting for the official unveiling of the Huawei P70 series, there are a few twists along the way. For one, it will no longer be called P70; instead, Huawei will be calling it the Pura series. This marks the end of an era for the P series, which Huawei has been using for the past 12 years. That also means that the P60 Pro is the last of the P series.Â

What’s with the name change then? According to other reports, the shift from P to Pura marks a “significant milestone” for Huawei, which is said to reflect Huawei’s commitment to timeless elegance and innovation. Pura means “pure” in Spanish, and this epitomizes Huawei’s goal for its camera-focused flagship.
With this in mind, the lineup will consist of the Pura 70, Pura 70 Pro, Pura 70 Pro+, and Pura 70 Ultra. The Ultra is said to replace the Art series and will be similar to the Pro+ but with a fancier design.
We still don’t know when the official launch of the Pura series will be, but some reports state that Huawei is accepting pre-orders in China. We expect to know more official details about the Pura series in the coming days.
