Apple announces new iPod Nano and iPod Touch
Right after the iPhone 5 announcement, Apple unveiled a refresh for the iPod Nano and the iPod Touch. The new Nano is a much more beefed up and up-to-date model that not only has a 2-inch multitouch display, but it also has Bluetooth connectivity. It sports a new design as well and has the Lightning connector.
iPod Nano Feature List
- 2-inch Multitouch Display
- 5.4mm Thin
- Lightning Connector (same as the iPhone 5)
- Comes in 7 Colors
- FM Tuner
- View Photos and Wide-screen Video
- Bluetooth
- Compatible with Nike+
The iPod Touch also got an update. Now on it’s 5th generation, it now follows the design of the iPhone 5.
iPod Touch Feature List
- A5 Chip
- 4-inch Display
- 6.1mm Thin
- 88 grams
- Lightning Connector
- Bundled with a Wrist Strap
- 5-megapixel Camera
- Front-facing FaceTime HD 720p
- Bluetooth 4.0
The iPods (and iPhone 5) also comes with new earphones called EarPods, which also has a new design and supposedly better sound quality. We’ll believe that when we get to use it though since Apple really has crappy earphones. Hopefully the EarPods are much better.
Pricing
Here are the prices: iPod Shuffle ($49), iPod Nano 16GB ($149), iPod Touch 16GB ($299), iPod Touch 32GB ($399). Those prices aren’t bad at all!
