It is also the smallest Instax to date
Fujifilm has been adding new twists to its Instax camera line. There’s the square format SQ6, and there’s the analog/digital hybrid Instax SQ20—the latter letting you create Instagram-friendly shots should you opt not to transform them into Instax prints.
Fujifilm is not stopping there, as it adds a fun new feature with the Instax Mini LiPlay. Aside from being an analog/digital hybrid camera, the Instax Mini LiPlay adds a new multimedia layer with its ability to record sound clips (up to 10 seconds long), and embed them onto Instax prints using a QR code.
It is a fun concept, as it lets you fully personalize your Instax prints for your loved ones. You can leave a special message or a special note about the said image—the possibilities with those QR-encoded sound clips are endless.
Just like the SQ20, the Instax Mini LiPlay comes with 6 filters and 30 frames to choose from so that you can add a dash of creativity to your shots. Since it is a hybrid camera, you can choose which photos to print later on, letting you use your film packs wisely with the shots that really matter.
Photos can be stored via the camera’s internal memory or a MicroSD card. The Instax Mini LiPlay’s 28mm f/2.0 has a single AF feature, letting you capture shots in focus and with ease with its fully automatic exposure system.
The Instax Mini LiPlay has a companion app that lets you preview photos taken with sound clips, use your phone as a remote shutter, and let you print your phone photos as Instax prints.
All of these features are packed in what is the smallest Instax to date. The Instax Mini LiPlay is so small, it feels like a typical compact digital camera.
The Instax Mini LiPlay is priced at Php 9,999 and includes a MicroSD card and film pack.
