If the copyright lawsuit filed by DBrand against Casetify is not enough, it seems that Casetify has been stealing designs more than once. Dbrand followed up in a series of Tweets that Casetify also stole designs from iFixIt, particularly the latter’s X-Ray design for gadgets.
Eagle-eyed internet users noted that aside from removing the “Inside Out” case collection from its website, Casetify also removed an “X-Ray Case” from their site. Further investigation revealed that the said X-Ray design came from iFixIt, and that Casetify literally copy-pasted iFixIt’s onto their “X-Ray Case” and called it their own–without making any alterations to where they stole the original design.
Instead, they stole this X-Ray design from @iFixit and seemingly tried to sweep it under the rug during yesterday’s chaos. (4/4) pic.twitter.com/0RgKUkZpq2

Of course, iFixIt noticed DBrand’s post and reminded Casetify that “using stolen X-rays of phone internals doesn’t make you a tech genius.” We still don’t know if iFixIt will file a copyright lawsuit against Casetify–but we will not be surprised if they do so.
To add further insult to injury, Casetify issued a statement after JerryRigEverything publicly called out them–and the statement is tasteless. Despite that it’s obvious that Casetify did steal designs from DBrand (and now iFixIt), they said that they “are currently investigating a copyright allegation against us.” Everyone did not buy Casetify’s press statement, because everyone knows the phone case brand is clearly wrong here.
And if that’s not enough, Casetify appears to be lying: despite pulling out its “Inside Out” collection from its website, netizens posted screenshots that you can still buy the copycat case via Best Buy.
