Here’s an interesting, novel way of building a commerce-oriented website. A startup called Heek is offering the service of website-building through conversation with a specially-programmed chatbot. Chatting with a “chatbot”? Well, it’s sort of like talking to Apple’s Siri or Windows’ Cortana.
So, how does it work? Heek is user-friendly and very easy to use. It’s like talking online with a very chatty sales rep with a lot of questions. Heek’s chatbot will ask you plenty of queries on your identity, your business, and other stuff. Then, it’ll show you a selection of customized templates that it thinks will be best for your goals. From here on out, Heek will occasionally suggest things that you can use to spruce up your website, like a form here or some kinda chat panel there.
Not all of your website will be built via chatbot conversation, though, and that’s understandable. You’ll have to get familiar with the usual WYSIWYG builder, albeit quite simplified, to edit the usual entries and upload photos.
Subscription to Heek will set you back $30 a month, or $25 if you opt in for an annual package. The payment includes the site building, a custom domain name, SEO and customer support. Fortunately, Heek offers a 2-week trial for those on the fence in committing, giving prospective users plenty of time to get to know the viability of the system.
Head over to their official website for more information if you’re looking for a more “conversational” approach to building websites.
