The world’s thinnest phone… for now
It looks like the Motorola Droid Razr’s claim to fame has been shot down. Huawei just announced at CES 2012 their newest smartphone: the Huawei Ascend P1 S. They claim that it’s the world’s thinnest phone measuring 6.68 mm thin. Just a little more and you can chop vegetables already with your phone!
Here are the specs:
- 4.3″ Super AMOLED qHD 960×540 touchscreen (with Corning Gorilla Glass)
- Dual-core TI OMAP 4460 Cortext-A9 CPU (1.5GHz)
- 1GB RAM
- Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
- 1670 mAh battery
- 8MP BSI camera, dual LED flash and HDR optimization
- Video Recording 1080p HD
The phone comes in metallic black, ceramic white, or cherry-blossom pink.
No pricing details yet. It’s scheduled to hit several countries at the same time in Q2, 2012.
PS: the design reminds me a lot of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc.
