The Infinix NOTE 40 Pro+ Boasts 100w Wired Charging

Infinix has unveiled the NOTE 40 series at their global launch in Malaysia, with the NOTE 40 Pro+ making a statement with best-in-class 100w wired charging. That makes the NOTE 40 Pro+ the best budget mid-range phone in terms of charging speed. Aside from wired charging, the NOTE 40 Pro+ also comes with 20w wireless magnetic charging (MagCharge for short) as well. This makes the NOTE 40 Pro+ the first Android phone to officially have magnetic charging–several brands showcased this years ago as a proof of concept, but Infinix is the one of the few brands to make it available to consumers.

The NOTE 40 Pro+ is the first model under the NOTE series to employ a curved AMOLED display–one that has a 120hz refresh rate, 1300nits of peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Powering the NOTE 40 Pro+ is a Dimensity 7020 processor that’s paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Other features of the NOTE 40 Pro+ include a vegan leather back option, a 108-megapixel main camera with OIS, JBL-tuned stereo speakers, an IP53 rating, and a software commitment of 2 major Android updates and 3 years of security updates.

Aside from the NOTE 40 Pro+, there’s also a NOTE 40 Pro 5G that’s similar to the Pro+ save for its use of a 45w wired charging solution, a NOTE 40 Pro with a Helio G99 processor and 70w charging and a 4G-only NOTE 40 that has a flat 120hz AMOLED display, 45w charging, and a Helio G99 processor. All phones under the NOTE 40 series come with the Cheetah X1 power management chip, which is part of Infinix’s All-Round FastCharge 2.0 tech.

The NOTE 40 Series will be available starting March 19. Here’s the global pricing for all four models:

  • NOTE 40  – $199(~Php 11.5k)
  • NOTE 40 Pro – $259(~Php 15k)
  • NOTE 40 Pro 5G – $289(~Php 16.5k)
  • NOTE 40 Pro+ – $309(~Php 18k)

Infinix Philippines has yet to specify which models are going to be made available in the country, though expect local pricing to be lower than global pricing,
