Do you ever wish you could open Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop on the web? Well, it’s no longer just a dream. Adobe has announced that users may now open the apps with a browser.
Before you jump for joy, there is one thing you need to know: opening the app through a browser will not allow you to do complex stuff. In short, the idea is just to allow users to open and view content from a browser and then leave a comment or feedback. Think of it as Google Docs for .PSD files.
Although this feature is long available through Adobe’s Creative Cloud, the main difference is that you no longer need a desktop or an iPad with a corresponding Adobe app just to open a .PSD file. According to Adobe, with this feature, your colleagues “can review and add comments right in the browser without having to download apps or have a Creative Cloud subscription.”
Moving on to the features available on the web, Adobe included basic editing tools that would allow you to make “minor tweaks and quick edits” without having to launch the full Illustrator or Photoshop apps. Those include things like selection, minor color correction, and more.
In addition to this new development, Adobe said it is also launching Creative Cloud Spaces where users can bring “content, context, and people together to one place.”
