Realme has officially launched yet another member of their Realme C series family, the Realme C12.
The Realme C12 slots in between the Realme C11 and Realme C15 in terms of price and specs, with the company slashing a few features of the latter to drop the price of the phone down past Php 6K.
The Realme C12 has a triple-camera module on the rear, and only has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage compared to the Realme C15 that has a quad-camera setup, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The phone also only has a 5-megapixel front camera instead of the 8-megapixel one on the Realme C15.
The Realme C12 also loses the 18W fast-charging capability that its bigger brother had, opting instead for 10W charging.
Aside from that, both phones are pretty similar in what they offer: they both have plastic bodies with matte, textured finishes, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, 6.5-inch HD+ display with dew-drop notches, MediaTek’s new Helio G35 processor, and massive 6000mAh batteries.
The Realme C12 does come in a brand new Coral Red colorway, which compliments the Realme C15’s existing color choices nicely. It will also be available in the Marine Blue colorway as well, if you want that contrasting color.
Realme is pricing the C12 at Php 5,990. The phone will be heading to Realme stores on September 3.
For reference, the Realme C11 is priced at Php 4,990 and has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, while the Realme C15 is priced at Php6,490 for the 3GB/64GB storage variant.
Realme wants users to see the C12 as its all-rounder, with the C11 as a phone for students and people on a really tight budget, while the Realme C15 is being marketed as a budget smartphone that can do mobile photography in a pinch.
