Redmi Note 11S and 11 Pro 5G Price Announced in The Philippines

Redmi Note 11S and 11 Pro 5G Price Announced in The Philippines

We’ve reviewed both the Redmi Note 11S and the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G in the past few days. We generally liked both of these devices and mentioned that they are still good buys despite their shortcomings. At the time of review, we only had US prices to base our estimations on. However, the company behind these devices has finally released official details for them. Here is a refresher course on what these smartphones have to offer as well as both the Redmi Note 11S and Note 11 Pro 5G’s official price in the Philippines.

Starting off with the Redmi Note 11S, it finds itself between the vanilla Note 11 and the top-spec 11 Pro 5G. We found the display to be fun to use with its 6.43-inch 90Hz Full HD+ resolution. It uses AMOLED technology, which leads to bright colors and ultra-deep blacks for that extra immersion. There is somewhat of a chin, but it just makes the device easier to hold.

On the rear is the 108-megapixel main snapper with a supporting 8-megapixel ultrawide shooter, and a pair of 2-megapixel macro and depth sensors. Performance in adequate lighting was brilliant, but what we didn’t expect was the improved low-light shooting capabilities – hard to find within this segment. The front camera is a decent 13-megapixel one hidden in the front punch hole.

On the inside is the Helio G96 processor, which is a definite upgrade over the Snapdragon 680 found in the vanilla model. Games like the notoriously-heavy Genshin Impact ran without a hitch. The device is available with either 6 or 8GB of RAM, with 64 or 128GB storage options expandable via microSD. Other notable features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.1, IP53 certification, 5000 mAh battery with support for 33W charging, and will be shipped with Android 11/MIUI 13.

Moving on to the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, we receive expected improvements over its two little siblings. Screen size is amped up to 6.67-inches with an even smoother 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. The processor is now the Snapdragon 695, which is more powerful and capable of 5G connectivity. Hence, those who absolutely need the higher network speeds might be eyeing this device instead of the vanilla 11 and 11S models.

The camera modules are mostly the same, with the selfie shooter gaining an extra 3-megapixels to 16. We lose the 2-megapixel depth sensor at the rear, and low-light performance is impacted by quite a bit. Video is shot at a maximum of 1080p resolution at 30fps. The battery size is at 5,000 mAh which achieved a PCMark battery test score of 19 hours and 33 minutes.

Much like the 11S, it comes in 6/8GB RAM configurations and choices of either 64 or 128GB of storage. The extra features are exactly what you see for the Redmi Note 11S above, although this model ships with Android 12 instead of 11.

Redmi Note 11S and Note 11 Pro 5G Price Philippines

The Redmi Note 11S tops off at a price of Php 12,999 for the 8/128GB variant in the Philippines. The Note 11 Pro 5G on the other hand, with the same RAM and memory configuration, comes to a reasonable Php 15,999. Both are available for pre-order on March 5, with the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G having a free Redmi Watch 2 Lite until stocks last.
