Straight swap
Meizu is taking a swipe at rival OnePlus today by offering to swap their newly released Pro 5 with a OnePlus Two.
Meizu Pro 5 specs
- Exynos 7420 octa-core processor
- 3GB/4GB of RAM
- 5.7-inch full HD display, 1920 x 1080 resolution
- 32GB/64GB of storage, expandable via microSD
- 21-megapixel rear camera, Sony IMX230 sensor
- 5-megapixel front camera
- Dual-SIM
- WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, USB Type-C
- Android 5.1 with Flyme 5
- 3050mAh battery
Prefaced by hastag #Turntheheatoff – possibly in reference to the notoriously hot Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 that’s in the OnePlus Two – Meizu extended the offer to current OnePlus Two owners, though only a limited number of OnePlus Two owners will be able to actually swap out their device as it’s a contest. Regardless, that’s a pretty sick burn from Meizu, considering that the PRO 5 is a considerable upgrade from the OnePlus Two.
OnePlus 2 specs
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor
- 4GB of RAM
- 5.5-inch full HD display, 1920 x 1080 resolution
- 16GB/64GB of internal storage
- 13-megapixel rear camera with OIS, 1.3 µm sensor size, laser autofocus
- 5-megapixel front camera
- Dual SIM
- 3G, LTE
- WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, fingerprint scanner, USB type-C
- 3,300mAh battery
- Oxygen OS
Why Meizu specifically called out OnePlus in their contest is still a mystery, but if you’re a OnePlus Two owner and aren’t happy with your device, you can probably try and get it switched for the Pro 5 by joining the contest here.
