Camella Homes Residents Finally Getting PLDT, Globe Connections

Homeowners of Cerritos Heights and Lessandra Heights, both developments of Camella Homes owned by Manny Villar, are all very ecstatic as they can now look forward to the entry of other internet providers, such as PLDT and Globe, in their compound.

For the longest time, residents of the said neighborhoods have been limited to Streamtech, a service provider also owned by Villar. Just last May, Camella Homes blocked Globe Telecom from entering the neighborhood to install cables, which led the Cerritos Heights Homeowners Association to seek the aid of the Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) in order to allow other internet service providers to set up facilities in their compounds.

The Cerritos Heights Homeowners Association stated that, “Because of our petition, Camella was forced to release a set of policies clarifying and formalizing the process for accepting entry of other providers. Before, all we received were verbal directives that it does not allow other providers. As a result, we now have other ISP providers in our subdivision. PLDT also sent initial plans to service our area. Once the proposal is signed, we hope Globe will also follow.”

Camella Homes had no choice but to follow and submitted a letter to PCC that it would not deny applications of Globe, PLDT or any ISP provider in its current and future development projects.

As for the disrupted cable installation, Camella Homes has reassured homeowners that it will review all applications including disapproved ones, within 60 days.
