Samsung is launching its newest mid-range smartphone in India next week. Launching on July 13, the Samsung Galaxy F22 has plenty of similarities to the brand’s already existing Galaxy A22, though its expected price should be a little lower than the current A-series phone. The company will release two variants: Denim Black and Denim Blue.

So what’s the difference between Samsung’s Galaxy A22 and Galaxy F22? First, let’s start off with the design. The back of the phone uses a unique wavy design on the back panel while the Galaxy A22 sports a smoother back design. The Galaxy F22 has a slightly smaller 6.4-inch display VS the Galaxy A22’s bigger 6.6-inch only uses a 6.6-inch panel, though it makes up for it by swapping the LCD panel on the more expensive A22 with a Super AMOLED one. Both phones have 90Hz refresh rates and full HD+ resolutions. The Galaxy F22 uses a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and two SIM card slots for your convenience.

The Galaxy F22 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 SoC while Galaxy A22 uses a Dimensity 700 processor. Included with the F22 is a quadruple-camera setup for the rear, composed of a 48-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel ultrawide with two 2-megapixel auxiliary sensors. There’s a 13-megapixel selfie camera on the front. The Galaxy F22 houses an impressive 6000mAh battery though it’s paired with a slower 15W USB-C charging speed. For connectivity, Galaxy F22 only uses LTE while the Galaxy A22 offers 5G which may be more appealing to some users.

Currently, there is no local pricing yet for the Galaxy F22 though in India it’s priced at Rs. 12,499 (~ PHP 8339) for the 4GB + 64GB storage model and Rs. 14,499 (~ PHP 9574) for the 6GB + 128GB variant.
