Google Makes Fun of Apple in Banter-Filled Video Series

While we are still waiting for Google to officially launch the Pixel 8 series, the company has launched an unusual campaign featuring Apple in its #BestPhoneForever series. Consisting of five short videos, the fun sketches involve an iPhone 14 Pro Max having a casual conversation full of banters with a Pixel 7 Pro, talking about what they have to offer.

In all five videos, however, the Pixel 7 Pro gets the last laugh, with Google highlighting features that makes its Pixel phones stand out better than Apple’s iPhones. Unlike with all those campaigns mocking Apple in the past, the iPhone appears to be a good sport with all the banters thrown at it by the Pixel phone.

One of the funniest sketches in the #BestPhonesForever series is the “Lifesaver” episode, where the Pixel 7 Pro tries to revive the iPhone 14 Pro’s battery with its wireless power-sharing feature–where the whole sketch is portrayed like a scene out of Baywatch.

Google even made a dig at Apple for not having a foldable device yet in “Opening Up”, where the iPhone 14 Pro Max was shocked with the Pixel Fold‘s surprise–to the point that it got confused if it was the year that flying cars exist (sorry, we don’t have those–yet).

The most interesting part about the #BestPhonesForever is the mention of the iPhone as a trademark of Apple, so we’re guessing that Apple must be fine with the funny skits Google has made with this campaign. Who knows, Apple might have something similar in the future–don’t you love those Mac vs PC campaigns before?
