HONOR X8a Coming to the Philippines Soon

HONOR X8a Coming to the Philippines Soon

After we got the X9a and X7a in the Philippines, it made us wonder if HONOR will also be bringing over the X8a to our shores as well. After we have spotted that it’s available in the UK and will be coming soon to Malaysia and UAE, HONOR Philippines made a hint that the X8a will be their next addition to their string of budget mid-range offerings.

Aside from the teaser photo showing a camera module that is reminiscent of last year’s X8, the mention of a 100-megapixel camera was a giveaway that the X8a is the next HONOR phone coming to the Philippines.

Despite looking similar, the X8a swaps the 64-megapixel main camera used on the X8 for a 100-megapixel one, and simplifies the rear camera setup by committing the depth sensor. Despite looking similar, the X8a does have a larger 4500mAh battery inside, which should make it last longer than the X8. You still do get 22.5w wired charging and a 6.7-inch Full HD+ display as well.

Instead of a Snapdragon 680, the X8a uses a Helio G88 processor, which is a variation of the Helio G85 that natively supports 90hz displays. Like the X8, you also get a headphone jack and fingerprint scanner with the X8a as well, along with 128GB of internal storage.

As for pricing, the X8a is listed at RM 999 in Malaysia, or around Php 12.5k when converted. The price of the HONOR X8a in the Philippines should not be that far from Malaysia pricing, and this makes it slightly more affordable than the X8.
