Aside from the MatePad SE 11, Huawei also announced that the MatePad 11.5s with the brand’s second-generation PaperMatte display will be arriving in the Philippines on July 5. The upcoming mid-range tablet is already listed for preorder at the official website of Huawei Philippines, where you only need a Php 1,000 deposit to get freebies that are valued at almost Php 20k. Some of the freebies mentioned include a 3rd generation M-Pencil and a Wireless Mouse.

The MatePad 11.5s an interesting mid-range tablet because it uses Huawei’s second-generation PaperMatte display, which significantly reduces reflectivity compared to conventional displays while retaining the same vibrant colors you’d expect on a regular, glossy display. The MatePad 11.5s’ display features a 144hz adaptive refresh rate and a 2800×1840 resolution, along with support for Huawei’s 3rd generation M-Pencil.

The MatePad 11.5s is powered by a Kirin 9000WL processor that’s paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage and has an 8800mAh battery that supports 22.5w charging. You also get a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera with the MatePad 11.5s.

To go along with its upgraded display and capabilities, the MatePad 11.5s introduces NearLink, which is a proprietary Huawei tech that ensures stable connectivity while being very power-efficient when compared to Bluetooth connections. It also comes with GoPaint, which is a powerful illustrator app that’s aimed at artists.
