Infinix Zero 30 5G Specs, Features And Design

The Infinix Zero 30 5G is slated to be officially launched in Italy later today, but there are enough bits and pieces that have already been announced (along with several Indian YT videos) that we can already tell you what some of the specs, features, and design of the new phone will be.

First, let’s start with the design. As you can see in the renders and in the hands-on videos that have popped up already, the Infinix Zero 30 5G will have a curved back, and two options for the rear panel: a nice gradient, glass finish, and a vegan leather option for its back panel. The phone also has an IP53 rating for dust and water resistance as well.

The phone uses a square camera module that holds three cameras, with one of them being a 108-megapixel main shooter with OIS, which can shoot 4K 60 FPS. There’s also a high-resolution 50-megapixel front camera as well, which makes the Infinix ZERO 30 5G a camera powerhouse, at least if you’re looking at it from a specs standpoint.

The phone’s 6.78-inch display is also pretty interesting since it’ll have a 10-bit color, peak brightness of 950 nits, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, and 2,160 PWM dimming. The refresh rate is pegged at 144Hz, and everything is protected by Gorilla Glas 5. Infinix is touting the Zero 30 5G as the thinnest, 3D curved AMOLED smartphone, thanks to its thickness of just 7.9mm.

Hardware-wise, the Infinix Zero 5G will be running the new MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor. We don’t have performance numbers for this chip because it is brand-new, but all signs point to it being a capable mid-range chip that will power phones priced at around 18K to Php 25K. RAM is expected to go up to 12GB, with storage going up to 256 GB.

As for the technical details, the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 has eight cores divided into two clusters: one for performance and one for power efficiency. The performance cores ARM Cortex-A78, and has speeds up to 2.6GHz. The power efficiency cores are four ARM Cortex-A55, with speeds up to 2.0GHz. LPDDR4 RAM can be used as the memory, and it supports UFS 3.1 as the internal storage. There’s 5G connectivity here, as well as WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.

Other Infinix Zero 30 5G specs include a 5000mAh battery as well as 68W fast charging capability.

There’s no pricing yet for the Infinix Zero 30 5G, though expected Indian pricing starts at Rs 24,999, which translates to Php 17,000 in Philippine pesos when directly converted. Obviously, that’s not going to be the final price for the phone when it makes its way here, but even if Infinix messes up pricing so badly (it won’t) that’s still a very aggressive price for a mid-range smartphone. If Infinix can keep the price of their Infinix Zero 30 5G below Php 20,000, then HONOR and realme, which have both launched mid-range phones recently, will be in for a lot of trouble once the Zero 30 5G launches locally, thanks to those specs.
