If you want to streamline your work setup and eliminate the need for multiple monitors, Samsung has an insane gaming monitor offering with the 55-inch Odyssey Ark. Initially unveiled at CES 2022, this huge display can cover an area of four 22.5-inch monitors, and can save you space with a borderless setup–and allowing you to connect four different devices with its 4 HDMI ports.

The display itself has a 1000R curvature, a 3849×2160 resolution in a 16:9 aspect ratio, and a 165hz refresh rate–effectively differentiating itself from the majority of Samsung’s 55-inch TVs. It makes use of Quantum Mini LEDs for local dimming, along with 14-bit processing for up to 16,384 black levels and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. It’s a bright display as well, as it has a peak brightness of 2000nits.

The crazy part of this gaming monitor is its so-called Cockpit mode, where the screen is rotated 90 degrees. The bottom part of the display is mostly vertical, while the rest of the screen hangs overhead, giving you a unique viewing experience, especially when working with multiple windows.

Aside from an out-of-this-world display, the Odyssey Ark does not disappoint in audio with its 6-speaker system that consists of four speakers and two woofers for a total output of 60w. Controlling most of its advanced features is done using the Ark Dial remote control.

As a smart monitor, the Odyssey Ark runs Samsung’s Tizen software and has support for Alexa and SmartThings. You also have GameHub pre-installed, where it will recommend games from services like GeForce Now, XBox Game Pass, and Stadia.

Samsung is accepting pre-orders for the Odyssey Ark in the US, but be prepared to shell out money–this insane gaming monitor will cost you $3500(~Php 195.7k).
