The vivo S19 Series Gives Us a Hint of the Next V Series

While the V30 series is finally complete in the Philippines with the arrival of the V30e, we might get a glimpse of the next V series as vivo unveiled the S19 series in China. Unlike with previous S series models, the standard S19 settles for a flat 120hz AMOLED display.

Despite opting for a flat panel, the S19 is intriguing as it is just 7.19mm thin yet packs a large 6000mAh battery inside–which is made possible by vivo’s Blue Ocean tech, which is a proprietary battery tech that has higher energy density. Charging the battery is done using an 80w wired solution.

The S19 is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and is paired with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. All S19 variants save for the base 8GB/256GB use LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The S19’s cameras are similar to its predecessor: 50-megapixel selfie camera, 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, and a 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera.

The S19 Pro, on the other hand, has a smaller 5500mAh battery to give extra space for cooling the Dimensity 9200+ processor and the additional 50-megapixel 2x telephoto camera. You get a curved panel on the S19 Pro, while the main camera uses a new IMX921 sensor. You also get an IP68 rating as well with the S19 Pro.

The vivo S19 starts at CNY 2500~(Php 21k) for the 8GB/256GB model, while the S19 Pro starts at CNY 3300(~Php 27k) for the same variant (though it uses UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 RAM). Both are available in China, and we expect them to be available globally as the next V series phone.
