Google Pixel Watch Retail Packaging, Pixel Tablet Both Leaked Online

Google recently posted a YouTube video showing off the design of its latest Google Pixel Watch. Someone on Reddit managed to catch the retail packaging earlier today, and the Google Pixel Tablet also found some online traction due to leaks. Whether or not this is a marketing ploy by the tech giant, we’re here to sum up the details.

Google Pixel Watch

Based on what we see in the video, the Pixel Watch has a round design with curved edges, leaving no room for flat bezels. This is a similar design element to those we see on smartphones but for some reason fits the watch very well. The sides are made up of a shiny metallic frame that should feel premium on the wrist. This should provide some much-needed heft to prevent the device feeling like a mere toy. Another addition is a meaty crown, reminiscent of what can be found on the Apple Watch.

On the screen, we can see the variety of watch faces shifting from one to the other. It’s not new anymore to have a feature like this but we’re looking forward to the execution since Google touts this as their “first smartwatch built inside and out.” A few seconds show off the Gorilla Glass logo, giving users some confidence in everyday usage due to the brand’s renown for durability and scratch resistance.

Current rumors speculate that the Google Pixel Watch could pack an Exynos 9110 chipset, 300 mAh battery, and LTE support. The retail packaging has also been leaked in a Reddit post earlier today, fully displaying its compatibility with Fitbit. Many were pleased by this development.

Google Pixel Tablet

Google hasn’t made a tablet in awhile, but tech veterans will know that they were once hailed as one of the best around. This is because of legendary models like the original Nexus 7, Nexus 7 (2013), and the Pixel C. Unfortunately, the Intel-powered ChromeOS Pixel Slate that came after was a bit underwhelming, but they’ve returned to reclaim the crown.

Enter the Google Pixel Tablet, another addition rumored to come in 2022. Current information released on the web points toward a 10.95-inch display, the next-generation Tensor chip, WiFi 6 support, and a dual-camera setup. Not much is known about it besides the fact that it could be a dockable device built for Android’s new ecosystems, and there could possibly be a Pro version released alongside it with higher-end components.

Regardless, this tablet could be coming in 2023. However, if that’s what it takes to make a device worthy of consideration, then so be it.

We’ll be sure to keep you posted on updates regarding these models.
