HONOR expands its X30 line of phones in China with the vanilla model. With a rear camera module that’s reminiscent of the Magic3, the X30 is more of a mid-range phone with 5G connectivity.
HONOR X30 Specs:
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor
- 6GB/8GB/12GB RAM
- 128GB/256GB storage
- 6.8-inch Full HD+ IPS display, 120Hz refresh rate
- 48-megapixel f/1.9 main camera with PDAF, 2-megapixel f/2.4 depth sensor, 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro camera
- 16-megapixel f/2.0 selfie camera
- 4G, 5G
- WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC
- Side-mounted fingerprint scanner
- 4800mAh battery
- 66w charging
- Android 11, MagicUI 5.0
Headlining its set of features is its use of a Snapdragon 695 processor, which adds support for mmWave 5G networks and uses a newer Kryo 660 CPU cores and an Adreno 619 GPU. The phone is pretty large with its 6.8-inch IPS display that has a 120hz refresh rate and a centrally-placed punch-hole for the 16-megapixel selfie snapper. Keeping the lights on is a 4800mAh battery with support for 66w wired charging.
Despite that huge camera bump that looks like the one found on the Magic3, the X30 comes with a basic triple rear camera setup that consists of a 48-megapixel main rear camera and a pair of 2-megapixel cameras.
The X30 starts at CNY 1,499 (~Php 11.8k) for the base 6/128GB model, while the top-end 12GB/256GB variant is priced at CNY 2,299 (~Php 18.1k). It will go on sale in China on December 24, and like most HONOR phones, there’s no word yet on global availability.
