After hosting for the past two years in a purely online format, PH DigiCon is returning in 2022 as a physical event from October 27 to 28 at the Mariott Grand Ballroom in Pasay. Poised to attract more than 10,000 delegates around the world, PH DigiCon 2022 will be headlined by NBA Hall of Famer, philanthropist and businessman Magic Johnson, who will speak about his unique experiences of businesses keeping relevant in this era of digital transformation as well as taking on the unique challenges that entrepreneurs face today.

“At long last, after two years of the pandemic, we are excited and are all looking forward to seeing and connecting with familiar and new faces in this hybrid, limited in-person Philippine Digicon,” PLDT SVP and Head of Enterprise and International Business Groups Jojo Gendrano said. “As you know, Digicon is always a highly-anticipated event among brands, entrepreneurs, and business leaders.

During the media launch at the Smart Tower on October 19, PLDT Group Chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan elaborated on the “Boundless” theme of PH DigiCon 2022, which will emphasize in the digital transformation of businesses in order to embrace all the opportunities and possibilities with full digital adoption.

“You cannot have the internet and the digital world without the basic infrastructure, which is digital by itself,” Pangilinan said,  explaining that they have invested around $10 billion in improving the hardware and infrastructure of PLDT and Smart to adopt to the digital age. Aside from improving infrastructure, Pangilinan added that there’s also a need for talents in the IT industry to help improve the digital transformation to business in the Philippines.
