The Insta360 GO 3S is Just as Tiny But Shoots in 4K

We instantly fell in love with the Insta360 GO 3 when we got to try it out for the two weeks it was lent to us but wished that it could capture video in 4K instead of the 2.7K resolution it did.

It looks like our wish just got granted because they’ve just released the Insta360 Go 3s, making this tiny camera even mightier. If you’re wondering what the video quality is like, check out this amazing reel posted by our friend Magic Liwanag on Instagram.

Aside from the resolution bump, the Insta360 GO 3s also gets gesture controls so you can easily start recording if voice commands can’t do the trick. They’ve also included a new FOV (Field of View) on the GO 3s called MegaFOV, which gives you a much wider range than what was recently offered but has little to no distortion from what I’ve seen.

One place that the Insta360 GO 3s does take a hit is with battery life. Since it’s pretty much identical to the previous version aside from the little S added on to the front of the camera, we’re pretty much getting the same battery capacity as before so expect shorter run times. It will last 38 mins when recording at 4K30, compared to the 45 mins on the GO 3. With the Action Pod the GO 3s is rated to last 140 mins down from the 170 mins with the GO 3 and its Action Pod. It’s totally worth it if you ask me but something to note.

As for pricing, we haven’t seen local pricing from our favorite stores as of posting this article but the standard package is listed at $448.99 or Php 26,320.
